Expect to hear the name Debra Arlyn a lot more. Currently touring, Debra is fast becoming the Alicia Keys/Norah Jones/Kelly Clarkson of the Northwest. She came to us with a limited budget, but with big ideas. We were able to create this site entirely in HTML and even add some flavor with a subtle Flash based music player. Debra regularly keeps this site updated with tour dates and press clippings.
This is Ryan Powell's location for young lacrosse players and their parents to find lacrosse lessons, info, and fun. Ryan wanted a cool site for kids, but still informative enough for parents.
Pretty in pink! Heavily inspired by Kate Spade, this simple site exemplfies the no-nonsense nature of Exquisite Events. We started from a color palette and created the 'shared e' logo. We also designed branded business cards o match the site.
Golf Pro Brian Henninger has a foundation for children's charitiy as well as a Pro-Am golf tournament. We were commissioned to create this elegant, just-the-facts site.
We redesigned the Pinemeadow Golf web site in March of 2003. Since the redesign, Pinemeadow has become the world's number one online golf club manufacturer. The owners of Pinemeadow Golf are early technology adopters, and like to be on the cutting edge of online marketing. This allows us to push the boundaries of design while receiving instant tracking feedback from the nearly 7000 daily visitors.
SY Design is an apparel and product design firm that specializes in sportswear, activewear, and outdoor adventure gear. Also a fan of modern and mid century design, SY Design let us loosely base the site on how the actual SY Design office was layed out. They've since moved to new digs, but the site still effectively organizes TONS of imagery and creative content into neat little rooms that the visitor can explore as if walking through the office.
The Hecklewood crew wanted a cut-paper feel that somehow integrated polaroids of their products. Originally, we used Flash to create a spin on the classic e-commerce catalog model. Each product page featured multiple views of the products that could be enlarged and clicked-and-dragged around the viewing area. After a bit, Hecklewood outgrew their site, and we redesigned it around a CMS so they could update products, track orders, and manage inventory.
Sony/EPIC recording artist, Justin King, has built quite a domestic and international following… and they're all visiting this site! Another mostly Flash project, justinkingmusic.com exemplifies the flawless nature of Justin's music and the extreme talent of the members of his band. Features a mailing list sign-up popup. Check out the music video, 'change', available on the site.
The DoubleWall driver is a technological breakthrough for golf clubs. We designed this site as a flagship site to highlight the DoubleWall. There are sprinkles of Flash throughout the site that help to illustrate the unique attributes of the club.
We built a custom club builder application in Flash that allows the customer to choose a head, shaft, and grip as the club is visually assembled on screen. Once the club is customized as desired, the customer simply clicks 'add to cart' and the club is added, just as built. We worked with a database programmer so that the application is tied to available head, shaft, grip, flex, length, and gender options.
Paul Shipper is an amazing artistic talent based in London. He needed a simple portfolio site to exhibit his many elaborate illustrations. Since each work is so detailed, We used Flash to create a viewing experience that allows the viewer to drag around an enlarged image of the illustration in a viewing window. Paul also has so many pieces to choose from, so we designed an auto-scrolling string of thumbnails that can be clicked to load them into the viewing area.
We applied the build-your-own design concept for this Accent Marketing headwear application. This application lets the user build and customize a hat, and then place an order for the hat as created. Again, working with a database programmer, we allow the user to upload artwork to be embroidered or screened onto locations on the hat as specified in the builder.
Ultimately, the order is emailed to the account manager including all details, and with the customer's artwork attached. Also, we programmed the site to allow Accent Marketing to distribute the site to resellers. With an affiliate ID, reseller logo will appear in the upper left corner instead of the Accent Marketing logo, providing for consistent branding.
The Rocketbook folks are the Cliff Notes of the future. They create interactive study guide DVDs to help students visualize the classics. We were brought in on the project to convert and integrate video clips into the site and sample page in an engaging and creative way. We also did the navigation animation.
We were subcontracted for this project to create the Flash based main page interface and a wine game. The site is split between two related products, Evolution and Meditrina wine, the first white, the second red. Both hit the market simultaneously, and currently share this site with equal importance. Ultimately, I designed a main page with just two bottles on it, Evolution and Meditrina, equal in all aspects. Throughout the interface, the user can mouse over either of the bottles to bring it and its information to the foreground.
The game is a simple multiple choice task that asks the user to match the correct wine with a meal, chosen at random from a few preset lists of foods ranging from fancy to just plain odd. The user is scored at the end of each round with a playful result, and playing multiple times adds an additional message.
